The things people ask before they write
If your question isn't here, write to us — that is what the address is for.
Write to us-
Is the galley equipped if we want to cook ourselves?
The galley has an oven, a hob, a fridge, and everything you would expect to find in a kitchen — if someone in the group wants to make lunch one day, nothing stops them.
-
Is the tender included?
Yes, at no extra cost, and so is its fuel for going ashore. It's a Novamarine 360 with a 30 hp Suzuki, fully refitted in 2025, and no licence is needed to drive it.
-
Will we run out of water?
No. There is a watermaker on board, and two generators. Nobody has to count the minutes in the shower — which is not something everyone can say about a boat this size.
-
Does the air conditioning run all night?
It can. Each cabin has its own thermostat: the temperature, and whether it runs at all, are yours to set cabin by cabin.
-
Are children welcome?
Yes, and they tend to have the best week of anyone. The Stromboli suite has three single berths, and the swim platform is where they will spend most of it.
-
Can we work from on board?
Yes. Two independent connections, Starlink and 5G, running in parallel. Most people don't want to. It's there anyway.
-
Do I pay a commission?
No. You charter directly from the owner. There is no broker and no agency fee between us.
-
Can we embark or disembark somewhere else?
The embarkation port depends on the month: Palermo in spring and autumn, Capo d'Orlando in summer. A one-way charter — boarding in one port and leaving from another — is possible, but it means bringing the boat back to base afterwards, so ask when you enquire and we will tell you what it involves.
-
Does it have to be a full week?
Saturday to Saturday is the usual shape, but it isn't a rule. Shorter periods and weeks that start on a different day are worth asking about, especially outside July and August.
-
Should we tip the crew?
Entirely up to you. It isn't expected and it isn't included anywhere.
Provisioning, the variable costs, the APA and the linen are not here: they are on the charter page, where there is the context to make sense of them.

Can we bring a dog?
Ask when you write. It isn't a no, but it depends on the dog, on the week and on who else is on board, so we would rather discuss it than publish a rule.
-
Can we smoke on board?
Outside, in moderation. Never below deck — on a boat the smell stays in the cabins for the rest of the week, and the next guests inherit it.
-
Is there diving equipment on board?
There are masks and fins for everyone, and the water around the Aeolians and Ustica rewards them. Scuba is a different matter: there are no tanks or compressor on board, so if you dive, arrange it with a centre ashore — Ustica in particular has good ones.
