01 · Under way 2 × Caterpillar 3412E DITA
Built in Rome in 2007, and rebuilt from hull to tender between 2020 and 2025.
Bianca II is a privately owned Canados 72 — hull, interiors, systems and tender all done over. She is not part of a fleet: she sails a limited number of weeks each season, with the same crew, along the coast and islands of Sicily.
What that means in practice: nothing on board is a compromise between what different charter guests might want. The layout, the toys, the galley and the air conditioning were all chosen by the people who use her.

Four suites, four thermostats
Four cabins below deck, each with its own bathroom, its own thermostat and its own safe.
-
Master suite — Panarea
Full beam, king size bed, walk-in wardrobe, separate shower cubicle.
-
VIP suite — Salina
King size bed, en-suite with shower, forward.
-
Double suite — Filicudi
Queen size bed, en-suite with shower.
-
Triple suite — Stromboli
Three single berths, one a pullman, en-suite with shower.
The crew have their own cabin and bathroom in a separate part of the boat. On a 22-metre yacht that is not a given, and you notice it: the guest accommodation is yours alone.
Where the day actually happens
-
Main deck
Lounging and dining aft, shaded, set up for long lunches and late cocktails. At anchor, this is where most of the day happens.
-
Salon
Divided in two: a day lounge aft with windows on both sides, and a quieter TV lounge forward. Air conditioned throughout, with the same independent controls as the cabins.
-
Flybridge
The panoramic deck. Freestanding furniture, two chaise longues, a large sunpad forward and a second lounge area on the deckhouse for when you want to be out of everyone's way.
-
Beach club & swim platform
Where the water toys live, and where you get in and out of the sea without ceremony.
Two 17 kW generators and a watermaker
The boat does not need a marina.
Ask the captain how long she can stay at anchor and he will tell you it depends on the food and the fuel — not on the boat. Hot water in all four bathrooms, and nobody counting the minutes in the shower.
The air conditioning can run all night, and each cabin has its own thermostat: that is your call, not ours.
It also changes what you spend. Mooring fees are not included in the charter, and a night alongside in the Aeolians in August costs more than most people expect. Every night at anchor is a night you don't pay for — and, more to the point, a night in a bay rather than in a harbour.
There is an ice maker, and a laundry with a washing machine and a dryer, which guests are welcome to use. Pack for four days rather than seven.
Starlink · 5G · screens
A connection that is your choice, not the island's
Two independent internet stations, Starlink and 5G, working in parallel — Starlink covers you at anchor off an island with no coverage, 5G covers you when the sky is obstructed. You can work from the flybridge off Panarea. Most guests don't want to. It's there anyway.
Smart TVs in every suite and a large one in the salon — Netflix, Prime, Disney+, running over the Starlink connection. Most weeks they stay off. On the one afternoon when the wind gets up, or when children need an hour indoors, they earn their place.
Drinks on board, at anchor
Small enough to land anywhere
-
Tender — Novamarine 360
GRP hull, Suzuki 30 hp. New console and complete refit in 2025. Fast enough to run ashore for dinner, small enough to land anywhere.
-
Two stand-up paddleboards
One fitted with an electric fin, which changes what a SUP is for: you can cover real distance, or take someone out who wouldn't otherwise manage it.
-
Water skis
Junior sizes on board.
The captain runs you ashore and comes back for you — for dinner, or for an afternoon walk through a village. During the day the tender is also yours to take out on your own: a beach with no road to it, a rock stack worth swimming under. No licence is needed for the outboard, only an adult at the helm.
